That it was, fantastic campaign and interesting multiplayer. This has been a great year for game releases...
I'm also predicting Far Cry 3 will be a GOTY Contender.
There have been more releases than just these two you know?
Halo 4, Walking Dead The Game, Journey, Guild Wars 2, Dishonoured, Borderlands 2, Assassins Creed 3, Mass Effect 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Forza Horizon and many more.
Nope, the embargo lifts tomorrow. Golden4Gamers are one of the largest hit seeking sites in the Games Industry, they post their reviews prior to embargo drops with ridiculous scores, such as Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City's 9/10.
The campaign was superb. 343 truly encapsulated Chief and Cortana's relationship and the events of this title have left me immensely intrigued as to how the story will progress in Halo 5. They took some huge risks with regards to story and gameplay, but man, they worked.
I didn't find it that difficult, just pace yourself, despite the Halo franchise being somewhat run and gun, on Legendary difficulty, precision and cover are your best friends.
In Europe it releases November 28th, UK November 30th, US December 4th.
There's no better quality in a gaming journalist than passion for the games industry. I find no fault in a reviewer's expression of a love or admiration for a franchise, his review was thorough, detailed and expertly written, proving his professionalism. If you wish to read reviews devoid of emotion, then I question your passion for the industry...
Add a couple of hours for those including myself that'll be playing through on Legendary difficulty. The wait for Halo 4 is agonising.
He barely discusses major topics regarding the game, did he even play it? I mean, seriously, one single paragraph for competitive multiplayer? This review is a joke...
Another tremendous score. 343, I never doubted you for a second.
Welcome back Chief.
@ Martinez
Uncharted 3 was given a 10 back when IGN restricted themselves to .5's in their reviews, making them round up to the nearest .5. They listed flaws for Uncharted, but Greg Miller wanted to give it a 10 regardless.
This review was written superbly and truly highlighted Halo 4's magnificence. I prefer their reviews now that they've returned to their older scoring system, the reviewers can be more free with their scoring, and if I'm not...
Congratulations 343. You deserve this appreciation after the sheer amount of effort you've put into the development of this game. The anticipation for my Limited Edition's arrival is unbearable...
Chief's back, and better than ever.
Actually, Sony own the Spiderman FILM franchise, Disney are in control of the animated franchise. As a fan of comics, I appreciate the effort being taken by Marvel and Disney with both Phase 1 and the upcoming second Phase, Joss Whedon did a sensational job of "The Avengers" and just the fact that such project was accepted shows that Marvel/Disney have major balls.
The very fact that an announcement for Episode VII is a disgrace. I'm only 19, but I can appreciate the original trilogy as being the far more superior and to continue it is entirely unnecessary. Seriously, what the hell?!
@ Sitdown
What, multiplayer skins referencing Callander events in a Third-Person Competitive multiplayer? Yes, yes it did.
Epic Games did this first:
Yes, but a predecessor looking good at it's time of release doesn't confirm the sequel to do the same on its release.
Wait, "Castevania: Lords of Shadow 2" has only had a CGI Trailer, how can we possibly know what (Graphically and Visually) the game will look like without screenshots?
My list would read:
Gears of War: Judgment,
Grand Theft Auto V,
Bioshock Infinite,
Metro: Last Light,
The Last of Us.
Because only roughly 2-3 Years into the Wii U's lifecycle (If even that long) there will be much superior technology on the market. Seriously, the Wii U is Nintendo catching up (Quality-Wise) to its oppositions Current-Gen consoles, and for each improvement it makes on Current-Gen, it falls short through its faults (No cross game chat etc.).
The Wii U will be completely reliant on the casual market after the Xbox 720 and PS4's release, and whilst thats suited them fin...
Gamespot's reviews often are.
